Our experienced team provides professional grooming for long-haired and short-haired cats in a calm, cat-focused environment.
We tailor each appointment to your cat's coat, needs and temperament.

Our salon has been designed specifically around feline handling and care. Our professional groomers have extensive feline grooming experience. We use gentle, considerate handling. We don't use sedation as part of our grooming service. We can use two-person handling when appropriate. We offer grooming for both long-haired and short-haired cats. Our aim is not simply to make your cat look beautiful. We want the grooming experience to be as calm and comfortable as possible.
Some cats are relaxed and confident. Others are nervous, elderly, highly active or simply don't enjoy being groomed.
Our approach is to work with the individual cat rather than expecting every cat to respond in exactly the same way.
If you're unsure which service your cat needs, give us a call before booking and we'll help you choose the most appropriate appointment. Our booking information also explains that services can be adjusted on the day if your cat's coat requires something different.
Our Services
Full Grooming with Bath & Blow Dry
Full groom with bath and blow dry including nails clipped
Shorthair with Deshed $95 with San/Belly Clip $100
Longhair with Deshed $140 with San/Belly Clip $160
Most cats benefit from a deshed at least three times a year. We recommend grooming long haired cats every 10 weeks minimum, every 8 weeks is better, to prevent matting of the coat.
Teddy Clip
Teddy Clip $160
Coat clipped to longer all one length from 9mm to coat length. This type of clip can only be achieved on certain coats. It is not a cut for every cat.
The clip can be done with our without mane.
If you like to keep your cat in the lion clip or teddy clip style it is best to have this done at least every 4 months.
Lion Clip
Lion Clip $160
Clipped to a 3mm coat with mane, boots and tail puff.
Tail can be left on if requested.
Deshedding
Deshedding service only $95
We will only perform this service if the cat is an indoor, well groomed and clean cat. If the cat has mats or knots then a Full Groom service will need to be carried out.
Nail Clipping
Nails Clipping - Please call us for nail clipping. No appointment necessary but we need to know you are coming.

How much does cat boarding cost in Canberra?
Ava & Archer cat boarding starts from $35 per night for an individual enclosure, with larger shared accommodation available for cats from the same household.
Can my cats stay together?
Cats from the same household are able to share an enclosure, subject to availability and our booking conditions.
Do cats get time outside their enclosure?
Yes. Cats staying with us receive daily playtime outside their enclosure, with cuddles, enrichment and individual attention.
Is Ava & Archer licensed?
Yes. Ava & Archer is listed by the ACT Government as a licensed boarding establishment in Fyshwick, with the current licence expiring in February 2030.
Do you provide food and litter?
Yes. Premium food and quality litter are available as part of the boarding service.
Can you administer medication?
Medication administration can be arranged and should be discussed before booking.
